Swimming
At the Wunna Theikdi Swimming Pool, Thailand, while not necessarily completely dominating the top step, owned most of the podium on Friday, winning a host of silvers and bronzes, as well as four of six gold medals.

And when it counted in the women’s 4x100 free, the Thai girls swam home with the gold in 3 minutes 47.66 second, leaving Singapore (3:49.00) with the silver and Indonesia (3:55.28) carrying back the bronze.

In the men’s 100m breaststroke, Matjiur Radomyos got gold in 1:03.06, 012 ahead of silver medalist Gunawan Indra (INA) and 0.26 ahead of Joshua Hall (PHI) who got the bronze.

Karatedo In karatedo at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium, Vietnam’s Nguyen Hoang Ngan grabbed the gold over Syafrudtn Yulianti (INA), who got the silver.

Yin Wah Thaung Luai Mau Olivier Yin Wah (MYA) and Salichane Thaviphone (LAO) took the bronzes.

Equestrian At Wunna Theikdi Equestrian Field, Indonesia amassed 205.929 points to win gold in the team dressage. Myanmar, on 197.309, took the silver and Singapore on 190.551 won the bronze.

Basketball In basketball, Singapore rolled past Cambodia 99-43. For Cambodia, 16-14 at the end of the first quarter was the closest they ever got as Singapore dominated from there on out.

Philippines, the class of the SEA Games basketball so far, continued their winning ways Friday with yet another runaway win, beating Thailand 100- 68 and never trailing in any quarter.

In women’s action, Malaysia almost doubled Indonesia 81-48 in another match that no longer in doubt after the end of the first quarter.

Hockey In women’s hockey at Hockey Field Yangon, Singapore turned a lackluster performance in a lackluster first half that ended scoreless to a 2-1 victory over Indonesia by the end of the match.

Earlier, Thailand showed a decidedly out-classed Cambodia no mercy, hammering their opponent 12-0 in the first half and adding another 14 goals in the second to win 26-0.

Sepak Takraw At Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium (B), Indonesia topped Malaysia 2-1 in the day’s first men’s sepak takraw match and Thailand blanked Myanmar 3-0 in the second.

In the women’s draw, Thailand’s women mirrored the men’s tea, beating Myanmar’s women 3-0.

Shooting In shooting at North Dagon Shooting Range, Chew Eddy (MAS) grabbed gold ahead of Mya nmar’s Ye Tun Naung, silver, and Johnathan Wong Guanjie (MAS) took the bronze.

Volleyball In volleyball at Zeyarthiri Indoor Stadium (B), all morning volleyball matches ended in 3-0 wins.

Myanmar’s women opened the day 3-0 over Malaysia, Thailand’s men sent Malaysia’s men down 3-0 and Myanmar’s men walked over Cambodia 3-0.

Weightlifting In women’s 48kg weightlifting, Sri Wahyuni Agustiani (INA) hefted a 188kg total for gold.

Silver medalist Panida Khamsri (THA) totaled 177kg, just 1 kg more than Hoai Do Thi Thu (VIE), who got the bronze.

Wrestling At wrestling at National Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Fahrjansyah (INA) topped Tepakam Methee (THA) for gold in the men’s 84kg freestyle. Tepaka, got silver and Jason Balabal (PHI) won bronze.

In women’s 44kg freestyle, Chov Sotheara (CAM) beat Thailand’s Pimpak Sureeporn to win the gold. Pimpak got silver and Thidar Soe (MYA) won bronze.

At men’s 96kg, Laotian Phachanxay Phonexay won gold, knocking Kyaw Win Oo (MYA) to the silver step. Sou Joshua (CAM) took the bronze.

Can Tat Du (VIE) wrestled eventual silver medalist Pasawang Tadsapol (THA) to the mat for gold at 74kg and Saw Gar Byiel (MYA) got the bronze.

In women’s 48kg freestyle, Vu Thi Hang (VIE) took gold over Tho Kaew Sriprapa (THA). Nokeo Panay (LAO) and Inadrah (INA) won the bronze.
