Traditional Boat
Thailand finally broke through at traditional boat race on Saturday, winning gold in the men’s 20-crew 2000m race by 2 and a half seconds over silver medalists Myanmar.
The Thais finished the Nga Lite Dam course in 7 minutes, 32.275 seconds, Myanmar, which tried vainly in the last 250m to reel the roaring Thai boat in, ended in 7:34.705
Indonesia got bronze in 7:45.690.
But Myanmar, which has won the golds except one on each day of racing, paddled back onto the top of podium in the women’s 20-crew. The Myanmar women ended in 8:23.330, almost 3 and a half seconds ahead of silver medalists Indonesia. Thailand got bronze in 8:30.356.
In the regatta’s, and the 27th SEA Games canoe/kayak, rowing and traditional boat race, finale, Myanmar came from more than a boat-length behind at 1750m to haul in a surging Indonesia and win the mixed 20-crew gold medal by barely a dragon’s head. Myanmar paddled the 2000m in 7:44.167, silver winners Indonesia in7:47.200.
Thailand, just 2 seconds behind Indonesia, got bronze in the day’s, arguably the regatta’s, most thrilling race.
Hockey
In hockey at Hockey Field Yangon, Myanmar won the men’s bronze with a 3-1 victory over Thailand.
Malaysia devastated Singapore 9-0 to win the gold. Singapore got silver.
Judo In judo at Zeyarthiri Indoor Stadium, Zin Linn ung (MYA) got gold in the men’s 90kg, Horas Manurung (INA) got silver and Angelo Gabriel Gumila (PHI) and Yi Gabriel Yang (SIN) won bronzes.
At 100kg, Yan Naing Soe (MYA) won gold, Hao Dang (VIE) silver and Adwin Sumantri (INA) and Timothy Loh (SIN) got bronzes.
At 100+kg, Han Boon Ho (SIN) won gold, Saknarin Kaewpakdee (THA) silver and Muhammad Ruzaini Abdul Razak (MAS) bronze.
In women’s play at 78kgm Aye Aye Aung (MYA) got gold, Thi Nhu Y Nguyen (VIE) silver and Nor Izzatul Fazlia Mohamad Tahir (MAS) and Desii Yudiyanti (INA) bronzes.
At 78+kg, Thonthan Satjadet (THA) won gold, Khin Myo Thu (MYA) silver and Thuy Duy Tran (VIE) and Noor Asnida Abd Razak (MAS) bronzes.
Kempo In kempo at National Indoor Stadium, Yangon in randori, Almadi Almadi (INA) got gold, Ohke Botsavang (LAO) silver and Soe Moe Myint (MYA) and Kim Nguyen Nguyen (VIE) got bronzes.
Kumi embu gold went to Indonesia, silver to Timor-Leste and bronze to Laos.
At 48kg, Hong Ngoc Do (VIE) won gold, Dian Pertiwi Said (INA) silver and Sao Myat Thida (MYA) and Meme Gnoysaykham (LAO) took bronzes.
At 51kg, Anna Yunita Gelu (INA) got gold, Thuy Duong Nguyen (VIE) silver and Rachana Sovan (CAM) and Cecila (MYA) bronzes.
At 54kg, gold went to Cherry Faw (MYA), silver to Isna Suryani (INA) and bronzes to Thanh Thuy Huynh (VIE) and Boummy Sysombasth (LAO).
Women’s kumi embu gold was won by Vietnam. Indonesia got silver and Myanmar bronzes.
Muay In muay at Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex, Mohd Lokman Akimi Bin Mat Roji (MAS) got gold in the men’s 51kg. Ngo Trieu Nhat Nguyen (VIE) took silver and Somsay Sopaseuth (LAO) and Suriya Lamontree (THA) got bronzes.
At 54kg, Saw Dar Pot won gold, Phillip Delarmino PHI) silver and Bouaphan Phankeo (LAO) bronze.
At 57kg, Pisal Iamsiri (THA) got gold, Phu Hein Nguyen (VIE) silver and Yusuf Susilo (INA) and Ain Binn Kamarrudin (MAS) bronzes.
In women’s muay 48kg, HLa Yin May (MYA) took gold, Thi Quynh Bui (VIE) silver and Laty Keobounphanh (LAO) silver.

Volleyball In volleyball at Zeyarthiri Indoor Stadium, Thailand beat Vietnam in straight sets (25-16, 25- 20, 25 18) to win the 27th SEA Games women’s gold medal. The Vietnamese women got the silver.
In the later match, Thailand’s men’s prevailed 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-21) to win the gold over Indonesia, who got silver.
Taekwondo In Taekwondo at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium, Ramnarong Sawekwhiaree won the men’s 54kg gold. Francis Aaron Agojo (PHI) got silver and Aggieseftyan Prasbowo (INA) and Naing Dwe Shein (MYA) won bronzes.
At 87kg, Trong Cuong Nguyen (VIE) took gold, Sophal Mao (CAM) got silver and Maung Maung Co (MYA) got the bronze.
At 87+kg, Kristopher Robert Uy (PHI) won gold, Quang Duc Dinh (VIE) silver and Basuki Nigroho (INA) and Nattapat Tantramart (THA) bronzes. In women’s 46kg, Nway Nway (MYA) took the gold, Panipak Wongpattanakit (THA) got silver and Aghinny Haque (NA) and Mary Anjelay Pelaez (PHI) won bronzes.

Traditional Boat
Traditional boat race at Nag Lite Dam continued today exactly from where it left off yesterday with the shouts of “Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold” liited to four races – because there only were four races today.
The 10-crew men were again the first to grab gold, winning the 500m race in 2 minutes, 11.813 seconds, more than a second ahead of silver medalists Thailand and a second and a half ahead of Bronze medalists Indonesia.
Next up, the 10-crew women paddled the 500m in 2:23.369 for gold. Thailand finished in 2:24.406 for silver and Indonesia got the bronze in 2:24.436, missing the Thai tie time by just 0.03 seconds.
The 20-crew men raced to gold in 1:48.039, beating Thailand to the finish by just 0.055 second. Indonesia took bronze in 1:46.542 in a very closely fought race.
In the last race of the day, Myanmar’s 20-crew women paddled home in 1:59.635, keeping Indonesia at bay for silver in 2:01.368. Thailand, at 2:02.581 got the bronze.
So far, Myanmar has won gold in all 10 races paddled. Thailand has eight silvers and two bronzes, Indonesia eight bronzes and two silvers.
Athletics In athletics at Wunna Theikdi Stadium, Van Lai Nguyen started last day of competition off on a high note for Vietnam, winning the men’s 10000m in 29 minutes, 44.82 seconds, barely a second faster than silver medalist Boonthung Srisung (THA). Agus Prayogo (INA) got the bronze in 30:25.33.
In the women’s 10000m, Indonesia’s Triyanningsih Triyanningsih got gold in 34:32.08, almost 7 seconds ahead of silver winner Phyu War Thet (MYA). Lodkeo Inthakoummane (LAO) took the bronze in 37:41.96.
Vietnam’s Van Hung Nguyen leapt 16.67m to win gold in the men’s triple jump. Muhammad Hakimi Ismail (MAS) jumped 16.44m for silver and Theerayut Philakong (THA) won bronze with a 16.25m hop, step, jump.
In women’s high jump, Thi Viet Ahn Dong (VIE) cleared 1.84m to win gold, Wanida Boonwan (THA) took silver at 1.80m on count back over Thi Diem Pham who added bronze to Vietnam’s medal haul on the final day of athletics.
Cycling In men’s BMX cycling, Daniel Patrick Caluag (PHI) won gold in the men’s cross, Christopher John Caluag (PHI) got the silver and Saputra I Gusti Bagus took the bronze.
Indonesian rider Novanda Elga Kharisma pedaled to gold in the women’s BMX cross, finishing ahead of Thailand’s Thongmee Duangkamon (silver) and Myanmar’s Khin Myo Htet, who got the bronze.

At Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium, Cassandra Haller (THA) claimed the women’s 67kg taekwondo gold over silver medalist Thanh Hein Nguyen(VIE). Jenny Fong Mee Soh (MAS) and Ywet Wah Htun (MYA) won bronzes.

In sepak takraw at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium in men’s doubles Laos topped Malaysia 201, Myanmar won 2-1 over Indonesia and Cambodia bested Singapore 2-1.

Football
At Mandalarthiri Stadium in Mandalay, Thailand out-scored Myanmar 7-6 in a penalty shootout after fulltime and two 15-minute extra periods to advance to the gold-medal match against Vietnam in women’s football. Malaysia, who lost 4-0 to Vietnam, will play Myanmar for the bronze.
Diving
Diving’s first day a Wunna Theikdi Swimming Pool saw Malaysia ruled the springboard and the platform.
In men’s 10m platform, Abdullah Muhammad Nazreen (MAS) won gold and Ooi Tse Liang (MAS) got the silver.
Indonesia’s Putra Adityo Restu won the bronze.
In women’s 3m springboard, it was Cheong Jun Hoong (MAS) and Ng Yan Yee winning gold and silver and Indah Eka Purnama (INA) taking bronze.
Cycling Cycling road wrapped up at Mount Pleasant with Indonesia winning the men’s team 163km road race gold in 13 hours, 34 minutes and 33 seconds.
Billiards and Snooker
In billiards and snooker at Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex, Thailand’s Issara Kachaiwong took the gold, Win Ko Ko (MYA) got silver and Chuan Leong Thor and Keen Hoo Moh won bronzes in snooker singles.
Philippines players won gold and silver in men’s 10-ball pool. Dennis Orcollo got the gold, Carlo Baido the silver ahead of bronze medalists Ahn Tuan Nguyen (VIE) and Thanh Kein Dang (VIE).
Malaysia took the silver, finishing 2:32 behind the gold medalists. Philippines, 6:31 off the winning pace won bronze.
Traditional Boat The first day of traditional boat race at Nag Lite Dam was nothing but “Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold” in all six races.
The 10-crew men were the first to grab gold, jumping to the top step of the podium in the day’s first race over 1000m. Indonesia got the silver half a second behind Myanmar’s 3 minutes, 31.113 seconds and Thailand got bronze a half second behind Indonesia.
The second trip the top of the podium came after the 10-crew women paddled the 1000m in 4:53.857 for gold ahead of Thailand, silver, and Indonesia, bronze.
Next, the 20-crew men joined the parade, racing to the gold medal in 3: 45.627 and knocking Thailand back to the silver by less than a second over the 1000m course. Indonesia took bronze in 3:49.340.
The fourth race saw the 20-crew women from the host country finish in 1:06.049 for gold. Thailand got silver more than 2 seconds later and Indonesia claimed bronze just three-tenths of a second behind the Thhai crew.
The mixed 10-crew from Myanmar also made the top step, but winning the gold was not quite as easy as it had been in some mother races. Mya nmar crossed the 1000m line in 4:35.109, only ahair ahead of silver medalists Thailand’s 4:35.549. Indonesia got bronze in 4:42.265.
Myanmar’s procession to the top ended with the mixed 20crew race, not because the hosts failed to win gold, but because there were no more races yesterday.
The closest race of the day—all three boats finished under 3:52 – had Myanmar across the line for gold in 3:50.244, Thailand over for silver in 3:50.924 and Indonesia getting bronze in 3:51.077.
Golf In golf at the Royal Myanmar Golf Club, Malaysia’s Gavin Kyle Green charged from well back with a final-round 68 to force leader through three rounds Danthai Boonma into a play-off for gold. Danthai faded to an even par 72 on Wednesday and both players ended the tournament on 278, 3- strokes clear of bronze medalist Poom Saksasin (THA). But the Thai made no mistake in the play-off, winning gold with a birdie on the second play-off after he and Green had both made par on the first. Green got the silver.
The men’s team title went to Thailand with a four-round 838, 8 strokes ahead of the silver medalists Myanmar and 10 ahead of bronze winners Malaysia.
In women’s team play, Philippines won the gold with a three-round total 428, 11 strokes better than silver medalists Myanmar and 12 ahead of the bronze winners Thailand.
Princess Mary Superal won Philippines second golf gold, taking the women’s individual over Myanmar’s Yin May Myo. Superal got gold with a three-round 4-under par 210. Yin May Myo got silver witrh even par 216. One stroke further back, Tatiana Jaqueline Wijaya (INA) got bronze.
Athletics In athletics at Wunna Theikdi Stadium, Thailand’s Jirapong Meenapra took the gold men’s 200m in 21.29 seconds. Harith Ammar Mohd Sobri (MAS) got silver in 21.46 and Throng Hinh Le (VIE) won bronze just a tenth behind Harith.
Philippines’ Christopher JR Ulboc ran the men’s 3000m steeplechase in 9:01.59 to win gold nearly a second ahead of Tein San Pham (VIE), who got silver. Patikarn Pechsricha (THA) won bronze in 9:04.04.
In men’s high jump, Nauraj Singh Randhawa (MAS) soared over the bar at 2.17m to win the gold medal. Van Thuy Dao (VIE) got silver with a 2.13m jump. Pramote Pumurai (THA) also jumped 2.13m but had more misses.
Vietnam continued to show well in the sprints with Thi Huong Vu winning the gold in women’s 200m in 23.55. Neeranuch Klomdee got the silver in 24.02 and Thi Qanhh Nguyen (VIE) added the bronze top Vietnam’s total.
In the 3000m steeplechase, Rini Budiarti (INA) won gold in 10:0.54, Thi Qanh Nguyen snagged silver in 10:30.92 and Jessica Barnard (PHI) got the bronze.
Maria Londa (PHI) flew 6.39m to win the women’s long jump gold. Thitima Maungjan (THA) got silver with a 6.24m leap and Thi Thu Thao Bui took bronze on 6.14m.
Thailand grabbed gold and silver in the women’s javelin, Saowalak Pettong topping the field with a 52.96m heave. Natta Nachan got silver on 50.37m and Thi Xuan Bui threw 48.31m for bronze.
In men’s decathlon, Jesson Ramil Cid (PHI) amassed 7,038 points over the 10 events to outclass seven-man filed and win the gold. Zakaria Malik (INA) got the silver on 6,711 a nd Van Dat Nguyen (VIE) took bronze with 6,383 points.
Futsal In women’s futsal, Vietnam took a 1-0 lead into the dressing room at the half, but Malaysia scored three goals in the second, Vietnam just two for a 3-3 draw at the final whistle.
In the second match, Thailand went 3-0 into the dressing room at the half and held on to end 3-2 winners over a determined Myanmar.
Judo At Zeyarthiri Indoor Stadium, Sel Wee (MYA) claimed the women’s 45kg judo gold over silver medalist Nancy Lucero (PHI). Tri Kusumawardani *INA) and Orn Areeya Konngoen (THA) won bronzes.
In men’s 55kg, Nhat Thong Huynh (VIE) won gold over Kap Cin Pau (MYA) and Muhamad Jafaanuar Jamaludin (MAS) and Soukphaxyay Sithisane (LAO got the bronzes.
Taekwondo Peerathep Sila On (THA) won gold in men’s 74kg taekwondo, Samuel Thomas Harper Morrison (PHI) got silver sand Abdul Hemi Modh (MAS) and Thanh Tam Duong (VIE) got bronzes.
At 62kg, Thi Thu Hein Pham (VIE) got the women’s gold, Victoria (MYA) got silver and Thidasavanh Sotthacht (LAO) took bronzes.
In men’s poomsae, Thaw Zin Han (MYA) won gold, Vidal Marvin Gabriel (PHI) silver and Ahn Minh Le and Jin Kun Yong (MAS) got bronzes.

In billiards and snooker at Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex, Thailand’s Issara Kachaiwong took the gold, Win Ko Ko (MYA) got silver and Chuan Leong Thor and Keen Hoo Moh won bronzes in snooker singles.
Philippines players won gold and silver in men’s 10-ball pool. Dennis Orcollo got the gold, Carlo Baido the silver ahead of bronze medalists Ahn Tuan Nguyen (VIE) and Thanh Kein Dang (VIE).
Malaysia took the silver, finishing 2:32 behind the gold medalists. Philippines, 6:31 off the winning pace won bronze.
Traditional Boat The first day of traditional boat race at Nag Lite Dam was nothing but “Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold, Myanmar gold” in all six races.
The 10-crew men were the first to grab gold, jumping to the top step of the podium in the day’s first race over 1000m. Indonesia got the silver half a second behind Myanmar’s 3 minutes, 31.113 seconds and Thailand got bronze a half second behind Indonesia.
The second trip the top of the podium came after the 10-crew women paddled the 1000m in 4:53.857 for gold ahead of Thailand, silver, and Indonesia, bronze.
Next, the 20-crew men joined the parade, racing to the gold medal in 3: 45.627 and knocking Thailand back to the silver by less than a second over the 1000m course. Indonesia took bronze in 3:49.340.
The fourth race saw the 20-crew women from the host country finish in 1:06.049 for gold. Thailand got silver more than 2 seconds later and Indonesia claimed bronze just three-tenths of a second behind the Thhai crew.
The mixed 10-crew from Myanmar also made the top step, but winning the gold was not quite as easy as it had been in some mother races. Mya nmar crossed the 1000m line in 4:35.109, only ahair ahead of silver medalists Thailand’s 4:35.549. Indonesia got bronze in 4:42.265.
Myanmar’s procession to the top ended with the mixed 20crew race, not because the hosts failed to win gold, but because there were no more races yesterday.
The closest race of the day—all three boats finished under 3:52 – had Myanmar across the line for gold in 3:50.244, Thailand over for silver in 3:50.924 and Indonesia getting bronze in 3:51.077.
Golf In golf at the Royal Myanmar Golf Club, Malaysia’s Gavin Kyle Green charged from well back with a final-round 68 to force leader through three rounds Danthai Boonma into a play-off for gold. Danthai faded to an even par 72 on Wednesday and both players ended the tournament on 278, 3- strokes clear of bronze medalist Poom Saksasin (THA). But the Thai made no mistake in the play-off, winning gold with a birdie on the second play-off after he and Green had both made par on the first. Green got the silver.
The men’s team title went to Thailand with a four-round 838, 8 strokes ahead of the silver medalists Myanmar and 10 ahead of bronze winners Malaysia.
In women’s team play, Philippines won the gold with a three-round total 428, 11 strokes better than silver medalists Myanmar and 12 ahead of the bronze winners Thailand.
Princess Mary Superal won Philippines second golf gold, taking the women’s individual over Myanmar’s Yin May Myo. Superal got gold with a three-round 4-under par 210. Yin May Myo got silver witrh even par 216. One stroke further back, Tatiana Jaqueline Wijaya (INA) got bronze.
Athletics In athletics at Wunna Theikdi Stadium, Thailand’s Jirapong Meenapra took the gold men’s 200m in 21.29 seconds. Harith Ammar Mohd Sobri (MAS) got silver in 21.46 and Throng Hinh Le (VIE) won bronze just a tenth behind Harith.
Philippines’ Christopher JR Ulboc ran the men’s 3000m steeplechase in 9:01.59 to win gold nearly a second ahead of Tein San Pham (VIE), who got silver. Patikarn Pechsricha (THA) won bronze in 9:04.04.
In men’s high jump, Nauraj Singh Randhawa (MAS) soared over the bar at 2.17m to win the gold medal. Van Thuy Dao (VIE) got silver with a 2.13m jump. Pramote Pumurai (THA) also jumped 2.13m but had more misses.
Vietnam continued to show well in the sprints with Thi Huong Vu winning the gold in women’s 200m in 23.55. Neeranuch Klomdee got the silver in 24.02 and Thi Qanhh Nguyen (VIE) added the bronze top Vietnam’s total.
In the 3000m steeplechase, Rini Budiarti (INA) won gold in 10:0.54, Thi Qanh Nguyen snagged silver in 10:30.92 and Jessica Barnard (PHI) got the bronze.

Futsal In women’s futsal, Vietnam took a 1-0 lead into the dressing room at the half, but Malaysia scored three goals in the second, Vietnam just two for a 3-3 draw at the final whistle.
In the second match, Thailand went 3-0 into the dressing room at the half and held on to end 3-2 winners over a determined Myanmar.
Judo At Zeyarthiri Indoor Stadium, Sel Wee (MYA) claimed the women’s 45kg judo gold over silver medalist Nancy Lucero (PHI). Tri Kusumawardani *INA) and Orn Areeya Konngoen (THA) won bronzes.

In archery at Wunna Theikdi Archery Field, Malaysia grabbed gold in men’s team recurve, beating silver medalists Thailand 213-212 in the final.
Indonesia won the bronze, topping Myanmar 202-198.
In women’s recurve team Indonesia beat Vietnam 212-200 and Myanmar won bronze 197-192 over Thailand.

Athletics
At Wunna Theikdi Stadium, Singapore’s Ying Ren Mok rand across the finish line in 2 hours 28 minutes and 36 seconds Early Monday to take home the men’s marathon gold medal at the 27th SEA Games.
Myanmar’s Thaung Aye won the silver, finishing a little less than 2 minutes after Ying, and Eric Panique (PHI) crossed the line just 40 seconds after Thaung Aye.
The women’s marathon once again saw a host runner winning silver. Myint Myint Aye (MYA) finished just 31 seconds behind gold medalist Thi Binh Pham (VIE).
The Vietnamese marathoner ran 2:45:34, Myint Myint Aye ran 2:46:07. The bronze medal also went to Myanmar, Pa Pa finishing in 2:49:01.
In the athletics stadium on the second day of competition, Panwat Gimsrang (THA) threw the hammer 56.94m to win gold in the women’s hammer throw. Renee Kelly Lee Casier (MAS) won silver with a 53.12m toss and Mingkamon Koomphon (THA) took bronze on 51.82m.
Kreeta Sintawacheewa (THA) vaulted 5.15m for gold in the men’s pole vault, 5cm higher than Iksandar Alwi (MAS) who got silver at 5.10m. Sompong Saombankuay (THA) won bronze clearing 5.00m.
In the men’s 4x100m, Thailand won gold, Singapore silver and Indonesia bronze. In the women’s 4x100, the Thai women matched their male counterparts, easily winning gold ahead of silver medalists Vietnam and bronze winners Indonesia.
In women’s heptathlon, Wassana Winatho (THA) sealed the gold medal in the seven-discipline event with wins in the long jump and 800m on Monday.
Wassana ended with 5,556 points. Silver medalist Narcisa Atienza (PHI) got silver on 5,241 and Sunisa Khotseemueang (THA) won bronze with 5,152 points.
Wassana won the day’s long jump with a 5.65m leap. Sunisa (THA) jumped 5.59m for second place and Narcisa Atienza (PHI) took third on 5.51m.
In javelin, Sunisa threw 42.36m to take top spot, Atienza made 42.27m and Wassana came well back in third on 39.67m.
But Wassana wrapped the gold with a 2:36.86 run in the 800m. Sunisa came second in 2:36.99 and Atienza ran 2:38.70 for third, close enough to Sunisa to hold onto the silver.
Wassana had the best of the day Sunday in the first four events.
Rowing In rowing at Nga Lie Dam, Nestor Cordova of the Philippines pipped Aung Ko Min by just 3-tenths of second for gold in the men’s single sculls. The Philippine rower stroked home in 7 minutes 49.38 seconds. Aung Ko Min finished in 7:49.68. Memo Memo (INA) got bronze in 8:03.61.
In men’s double sculls, Indonesia’s Muhad Yakin/Ihram Ihram took gold in 7:07.42. Benjamin JR Tolentino/Edgar Ilas (PHI) won silver in 7:08.86 and Porntawat Inlee/Sajia Heamhern (THA) got bronze in 7:31.33.
In the coxless fours, Indonesia won gold in 6:49.98, Vietnam won silver 2 seconds behind and bronze went to Thailand in 6:52.19.

Thailand doubled their sepak takraw gold rush with the women taking top spot on the regu podium. Myanmar got silver and Laos and Vietnam claimed bronzes.
Weight-lifting In men’s 94kg weightlifting, Sarat Sumpradit (THA) snatched 158kg and clean and jerked 194kg for a gold medal-winning 352kg. Hoa Tran Van (VIE) got silver with a 345kg (157/188) total. Mohd Faiz Musa (MAS) totaled 308kg (135/173) to win bronze by 1kg over Saw Aung Naing (MYA).
In the women’s 69kg, Boonatee Klkasit (THA) snatched 100kg and clean and jerked 125kg for a gold medal-winning 225kg total. Lae Lae Win (MYA) hefted 206kg (93/113) for silver and Nor Khasida Abdul Halim (MAS) took bronze with 188kg (83/107).

Futsal In women’s futsal at Futsal Stadium, Thailand took a 3-0 lead into the second half and ended winners 3-1 over Malaysia.

Golf In golf at Royal Myanmar Golf Club, Danthai Boonma (THA) shot a second- round 2-under par 70 to move alone into first place on 138. Natipong Srithong (THA) shot a 69 to move into second on 140. Four players hold down third on 141.
In team, the Thai men (418) hold a 5-stroke lead over Myanmar’s 423. Indonesia is in third on 427.
In women’s individual, Min Myo (MYA) shot a 1-under 71 to take sole lead a stroke ahead of four players on par 72 after the first round.
In women’s team play, Philippines, on 144, leads Thailand and Myanmar by 3 strokes and Malaysia by 6.
Hockey At Hockey Field, Yangon, Indonesia’s women took a 6-0 lead over Vietnam into the locker room at the end of the first and scored another 9 goals in the second to win 15-0.
But the day’s second match between Myanmar and Thailand ended scoreless as both team’s defense prevent a single marker. In the final women’s match, Malaysia knocked off Singapore 4-0.
In the men’s draw, Malaysia embarrassed Thailand 13-0 and Myanmar topped Vietnam 8-1.

Athletics
At Wunna Theikdi Stadium, Singapore’s Ying Ren Mok rand across the finish line in 2 hours 28 minutes and 36 seconds Early Monday to take home the men’s marathon gold medal at the 27th SEA Games.
Myanmar’s Thaung Aye won the silver, finishing a little less than 2 minutes after Ying, and Eric Panique (PHI) crossed the line just 40 seconds after Thaung Aye.
The women’s marathon once again saw a host runner winning silver. Myint Myint Aye (MYA) finished just 31 seconds behind gold medalist Thi Binh Pham (VIE).
The Vietnamese marathoner ran 2:45:34, Myint Myint Aye ran 2:46:07. The bronze medal also went to Myanmar, Pa Pa finishing in 2:49:01.
In the athletics stadium on the second day of competition, Panwat Gimsrang (THA) threw the hammer 56.94m to win gold in the women’s hammer throw. Renee Kelly Lee Casier (MAS) won silver with a 53.12m toss and Mingkamon Koomphon (THA) took bronze on 51.82m.
Kreeta Sintawacheewa (THA) vaulted 5.15m for gold in the men’s pole vault, 5cm higher than Iksandar Alwi (MAS) who got silver at 5.10m. Sompong Saombankuay (THA) won bronze clearing 5.00m.
In the men’s 4x100m, Thailand won gold, Singapore silver and Indonesia bronze. In the women’s 4x100, the Thai women matched their male counterparts, easily winning gold ahead of silver medalists Vietnam and bronze winners Indonesia.
In women’s heptathlon, Wassana Winatho (THA) sealed the gold medal in the seven-discipline event with wins in the long jump and 800m on Monday.
Wassana ended with 5,556 points. Silver medalist Narcisa Atienza (PHI) got silver on 5,241 and Sunisa Khotseemueang (THA) won bronze with 5,152 points.
Wassana won the day’s long jump with a 5.65m leap. Sunisa (THA) jumped 5.59m for second place and Narcisa Atienza (PHI) took third on 5.51m.
In javelin, Sunisa threw 42.36m to take top spot, Atienza made 42.27m and Wassana came well back in third on 39.67m.
But Wassana wrapped the gold with a 2:36.86 run in the 800m. Sunisa came second in 2:36.99 and Atienza ran 2:38.70 for third, close enough to Sunisa to hold onto the silver.
Wassana had the best of the day Sunday in the first four events.
Rowing In rowing at Nga Lie Dam, Nestor Cordova of the Philippines pipped Aung Ko Min by just 3-tenths of second for gold in the men’s single sculls. The Philippine rower stroked home in 7 minutes 49.38 seconds. Aung Ko Min finished in 7:49.68. Memo Memo (INA) got bronze in 8:03.61.
In men’s double sculls, Indonesia’s Muhad Yakin/Ihram Ihram took gold in 7:07.42. Benjamin JR Tolentino/Edgar Ilas (PHI) won silver in 7:08.86 and Porntawat Inlee/Sajia Heamhern (THA) got bronze in 7:31.33.
In the coxless fours, Indonesia won gold in 6:49.98, Vietnam won silver 2 seconds behind and bronze went to Thailand in 6:52.19.
Thi an Le/Thi Sam Tran (VIE) stroked to gold in the women’s double sculls in 8:02.26, coming home nearly 10 seconds before silver medalists Chaw Su/Ni Lar Win (MYA). Susanti Sunsanti/ Wa Ode Fitri Rahmanliani (INA) got bronze in 8:34.73
Archery In archery at Wunna Theikdi Archery Field, Chan Jing Ru (SIN) won gold in the women’s individual recurve, beating silver medalist Titik Kusumawardani (THA) 6-4 in the final. Ika Yuliana Rochmawati (INA) won bronze 6-2 over Loc Thi Dao (VIE).
In the women’s individual compound, Aung Ngeain (MYA) pushed Dellie Threesyadinda (INA) to the silver with a 138-130 win for the gold medal. Cham Nong Saritha (MAS) won bronze.
On the men’s side, Vietnam’s Nguyen Tien Cuong 138-136 to take the compound gold over silver medalist Chatachot Nitiphum (THA). Earl Benjamin Yap (PHI) got the bronze.
In recurve, Mohamad Khairul Anuar (MAS) beat teammate Bakri Atiq Bazil 7-1 to win the gold. Bakri got silver and Tham Wong Witthaya (THA) won bronze 7-3 over Riau Ega Agata Salsabilla (INA).
Sepak Takraw In men’s sepak takraw regu at Wunna Theikdi Stadium, Thailand won gold, Malaysia silver and Myanmar and Laos snagged bronzes.
Thailand doubled their sepak takraw gold rush with the women taking top spot on the regu podium. Myanmar got silver and Laos and Vietnam claimed bronzes.
Weight-lifting In men’s 94kg weightlifting, Sarat Sumpradit (THA) snatched 158kg and clean and jerked 194kg for a gold medal-winning 352kg. Hoa Tran Van (VIE) got silver with a 345kg (157/188) total. Mohd Faiz Musa (MAS) totaled 308kg (135/173) to win bronze by 1kg over Saw Aung Naing (MYA).
In the women’s 69kg, Boonatee Klkasit (THA) snatched 100kg and clean and jerked 125kg for a gold medal-winning 225kg total. Lae Lae Win (MYA) hefted 206kg (93/113) for silver and Nor Khasida Abdul Halim (MAS) took bronze with 188kg (83/107).
Cycling In cycling at Mount Pleasant, Vietnam wheeled to gold in 2 hours 36 minutes, 19.717 seconds in the men’s 100km team time trial better than 2 minutes ahead of silver medalists Thailand. Malaysia got the bronze in 2:41:41.285.

27th SEA Games - DECEMBER 15 Summary
Athletics
At Wunna Theikdi Stadium, Myanmar’s Saw Mar Lar Nwe opened five days of athletics competition with a gold medal in the women’s 20km walk, finishing in 1 hour 35 minutes and 3 seconds, a little more than 2 minutes ahead of silver medalist Thi Thanh Phuc Nguyen (VIE).
She walked home in 1:37.08. Kay Khine Myo Tun gave Myanmar its second medal in the race, finishing in 1:40.15 for the bronze.
In the men’s draw, Hendro Hendro (INA) walked home in 1:29.41 for the gold medal. Xuan Vinh Vo (VIE) got the silver in 1:33.30 and Myo Min Thita (MYA) took the bronze in 1:36.18.
In women’s shot put, Singapore’s Guirong Zhang won gold with a heave of 14.99m, beating silver medalist and teammate Xianhui Du by just 7cm. Sawitri Thongchao (THA) won bronze with a put of 14.82m.
In men’s discus, Muhammad Ifran Shamshuddin (MAS) won gold with a throw of 53.16m. Narong Benjaroon (THA) got the silver hurling the discus 52.45m and Hermanto Hermanto (INA) won bronze on 51.56m.
The men’s long jump gold went to Henry Dagmil (PHI) with a leap of 7.80m. Supanra Sukhasvasti Na Ayudhaya (THA)got silver with a 7.71m and Van Lam Pham (VIE) won bronze on 7.53m.

In women’s heptathlon 100m hurdles, Wassana Winatho (THA) set the pace through the first event, finishing in 13.746. Narcisa Atienza (PHI) came second in 14.813 and Sunisa Khotseemueang (THA) had the third- best time, 14.830.
In the heptathlon high jump, Wassana Winatho’s (THA) leap of 1.79m put her on top, ahead of Narcisa Atienza (PHI) on 1.76m and Sunisa Khotseemueang (THA) on 1.64m.
In the heptathlon shot put, Atienza (PHI) put the shot 12.57m, Wassana (THA) 12.28m and Sunisa (THA) 11.82.
In the day’s final heptathlon discipline, Wissana ran the 200m in 25.046 seconds, ahead of Sunisa in 25.853 and Atienza in 26.588.
Bodybuilding In men’s 80kg bodybuilding at the MCC Yangon, Myanmar’s Min Zaw Oo grabbed the gold, Khuntal Phuangphet (THA) the silver and Komara Dhita Jana (INA) the bronze.
At 90kg, Ngai Hoeng Wong (MAS) took the gold, Aung Swe Naing (MYA) silver and Panupong Prateep (THA) the bronze.

Shooting At North Dagon Shooting Range in Yangon, Hoang Xuan Vinh (VIE) got the men’s 10m air pistol gold with a 199.7 total. Eddy Chew (MAS) got the silver on 197.0 and Lim Swee Hon (SIN) took bronze on 176.6.
In the team competition, Vietnam grabbed the gold, Singapore the silver and Malaysia bronze.
Karatedo At Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium (A), Thailand won the karatedo gold in the men’s team kumite. Malaysia got the silver and Vietnam and Indonesia won the bronzes.
In women’s team kumite, Malaysia beat Indonesia 2-0 to win the gold. Indonesia got silver and bronzes went to Myanmar and Vietnam.
Chess Late Saturday, Win Zaw Htun (MYA) won gold, Timsri Worathep (THA) silver and Halay Taufik (INA) bronze in the men’s chess traditional individual blitz.
Swimming In swimming at Wunna Theikdi Swimming Pool, Sidiq Triady Fauzi (INA) won gold in the men’s 50m freestyle in 23.12 seconds. Russell Ong Kaiyi (SIN) managed silver in 23.24 and Gavin Alexander Lewis (THA) got the bronze in23.41.
In men’s 200m breaststroke, Ketin Nuttapong (THA) got gold in 2:13.32, Matjiur Radomyos (THA) stroked to silver in 2:17.77 and Yap See Tuan got bronze in 2:18.57.

Cycling
Indonesia’s Afosma Hildan proved the fastest man downhill at Mount Pleasant on Saturday, winning the men’s downhill cycling gold in 2 minutes, 22.324 seconds for an average speed of 30.423 kph over the 1,200m course.
Compatriot Pornomo Pornomo (INA) made it a gold-silver finish for Indonesia, coming home just 0.675 slower than Afosma.
The bronze medal was won by Sukchanya Suebsakun (THA) who ended 1.801 off the gold-medal pace.
Racing over the same 1,200Km, Deekaballes Vipavee won the women’s downhill gold by averaging 27.516 kph to finish in 2:37.191. Suseanty Risa (INA) won silver in 2:38.707, comfortably ahead of bronze medalist Abdulkaree Sattayanun’s (THA) 2:42.635.
Equestrian At Wunna Theikdi Equestrian Field, Praveen Nair Mathavan, riding Sein Win Mal, took the individual dressage gold medal with a 67.405 total.
Indonesian riders Valentino Lumentah, on Ngwe Har May, and Ferry Wahyu Hadiyanto on Perfecting Ruby finished close behind Praveen. Valentino won silver with a 67.162 total and Ferry got bronze on 65.135.
Karatedo In men’s 75kg kumite karatedo at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium, Myanmar’s Aye Cham Naing defeated Mondolu Christo (INA) to win the gold medal. Mondolu got silver and Jamaludin Shaharudin (MAS) and Muntaen Songvut (THA) got the bronze medals.
In 67kg kumite, Indonesia’s Simanjuntak Jintar prevailed over Sharmendran Raghonathan (MAS) to send Sharmendran crashing to silver and taking home the gold himself. Tin Tun Aung (MYA) and Nguyen Ngoc Thanh (VIE) won the bronzes.
At 60kg, Silvarajoo Senthil Kumaran (MAS) overcame Dharmawan Donny (INA) to take the kumite gold. Dharmawan got silver and Tran Minh Duc (VIE) and Mohammad Mairul (BRU) went home with the bronzes.
In the women’s draw, Malaysia’s Segaran Shree Shamini won gold, beating Pham Thi Tien (VIE) down to silver. Cer Zung Len (MYA) and Joanna Mae Ylanan (PHI) got the bronzes.
Weightlifting At National Indoor Stadium, Yangon, Myanmar’s Aye Thanda Lwin snatched 92kg and clean and jerked 110kg to take gold in the women’s 53kg weightlifting with a 202kg total. Thuy Nguyen Thi (VIE) won silver with a 191kg (82/109) total on lighter-lifter tiebreak and Citra Febriamti(INA) got bronze with 191kg (86/105).
In men’s 69kg, Deni Deni (INA) totaled 342kg with a 148kg snatch and 176kg clean and jerk for the gold medal. Kyaw Moe Win (MYA) won silver with a 314kg (140/174) total and Tairat Bunsuk (THA) got bronze with a 312kg (137/175) total lift. Mohd Hafifi Mansor (MAS) also lifted 312kg, but lost the bronze because Tairat is the lighter lifter.
At 77kg, Pornchai Lobsi combined a 151kg snatch with a 185 clean and jerk to take the gold medal with a 336kg total. Ngoc Nguyen Hong (VIE) got the silver with a 391kg (138/181) total and Edi Kurniawan (INA) took bronze with a combined 316kg (142/174).
Bodybuilding At MMC in Yangon, Thailand’s Jiraphan Pongkam took gold in the men’s 55kg bodybuilding. Tun Min (MYA) posed for the silver and Van Mach Pham (VIE) won the bronze.
In the 60kg class, crowd favorite Aung Khaing Win (MYA) won the gold, Ahn thong Nguyen (VIE) the silver and Jefry Johanis Wuaten (INA) the bronze.
At 70kg, Van Lam Nguyen (VIE) took gold, Sazali Abd Samad (MAS) scored the silver and Edoardus Apcowo (INA) won the bronze.
Badminton Indonesia claimed women’s individual badminton gold through Manuputty Bellaetrix wo beat Ongbamrungphan Busanan (THA) 2-1 (9-21,21-13,21- 13). Ongbamrungphan got the silver and Nitachaon Jindapool (THA) and Thi Thang Vu (VIE) collected the bronzes at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium ( C ).
In men’s doubles, Angga Pratama and Rian Agung Saputro (INA) beat compatriots Angriawan Berry and Ricky Karanda Suwardi (INA) 2-1 (21-13, 17-21, 21-11) for the gold. Angriawan and Karanda got silver. Bronze medals went to Khim Wah Lim, Yao Han Ow (MAS) and V Sham Goh, KokSiang Teo (MAS).
The mixed doubles gold was Indonesia’s third on the day, Debby Susanto and Muhammad Rijal combining to beat silver medalists Jongjit Maneepon and Taerattanachai (THA) 2-0 (21-18, 21-19) in just 39 minutes.
Aik Quan Tan, Pei Jing Lai (MAS) and Puangpuapech Nipitphon,Supajirakul Putita (THA) won the bronzes.
But Thailand’s Saensomboonsuk Tanongsak prevented a clean sweep by the Indonesias, winning the men’s single gold over Rumbaka Dionysius Hayom (INA) 2-0 (22-20, 21-17) in 43 minutes.

Shooting At North Dagon Shooting Range in Yangon, Nguyen Minh Chau (VIE) won the women’s 10m air pistol gold with 195.6 score, just appoint ahead of silver medalist Teo Shun Xie of Singapore, who shot 194.6 for the silver. Le Thi Hoang Ngoc made a double-medal event for Vietnam by wining bronze, but ending well short of the winning scores on 174.8.
Football In men’s football at Thuwanna Stadium in Yangon, Timor-Leste and Indonesia played to the SEA Games first goalless draw, eliminating Timor- Leste from the medal round, but leaving the door still ajar for Indonesia in their final match in two days against Myanmar.
In women’s football at Mandalarthiri Stadium in Mandalay, Thailand converted a 2-0 lead in the first half into a 6-1 romp over Malaysia by fulltime.
Archery At Wunna Theikdi Archery Field on Saturday in 70m, 72 arrow play, three archers from Indonesia sit atop the women’s recurve qualification table after the morning session. In men’s recurve, two Malaysians sit above and below one from Indonesia, in second place, after the qualification round.
In women’s compound 70m, 72 arrow, Myanmar, Malaysian and Indonesian archers hold the three tops position at the end of play. In the men’s draw, the top places held by archers from Vietnam, Philippines and Malaysia.
Futsal In women’s futsal, Malaysia scored an equalizer in the second half to draw 1-1 with Indonesia, who took a 1-0 lead into the final frame.
In the second match Thailand took a 3-1 lead over Vietnam into the second, scored three more goals and came out winners 6-1.
Basketball Philippines, still the class act in men’s basketball at Zeyarthiri Indoor Stadium (A), weathered an 18-18 score-line at the end of the first quarter to outshoot Indonesia 22-16, 27-9, 16-9 in the remaining three quarters to win easily 83-52 in men’s action.
In the second game, Thailand jumped out to a 20-16 lead in the first quarter, outshot Malaysia 25-16 in the second, split the third 15-15 and eased of 13-22 in the fourth, but hung to win 73-69 in a hard-fought battle.
In the women’s match, Thailand dominated Myanmar 99-32, taking a 22-9 lead after the first quarter, adding another 25 points in the second to Myanmar’s 6, outscoring 29-4 in the third and finishing out the game 23-13.
Hockey At Hockey Field Yangon, Thailand scored two in the first half and added a third in the second to blank Indonesia 3-0 in women’s play.
After the first half, Malaysia looked unlikely to suffer any problems from Cambodia. The Malaysians led 18-0 at the break. They scored another 18 in the second half to embarrass their opponents 36-0.
In the day’s third match, Singapore took a 1-0 lead into the last half, added another goal and ended up 2-1 winners over Myanmar.
Sepak Takraw Sepak takraw wins at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium (B) went to Laos over Vietnam 2-0, Thailand 2-0 over Malaysia, Myanmar 2-0 over Laos and Vietnam 2-0 over Malaysia in the women’s draw. In the men’s round robin win went to Malaysia 2-0 over Laos, Thailand 2-0 over Myanmar, Laos 2-0 in a walkover against Cambodia Myanmar 2-0 over Vietnam.

Indonesia’s Afosma Hildan proved the fastest man downhill at Mount Pleasant on Saturday, winning the men’s downhill cycling gold in 2 minutes, 22.324 seconds for an average speed of 30.423 kph over the 1,200m course.
Compatriot Pornomo Pornomo (INA) made it a gold-silver finish for Indonesia, coming home just 0.675 slower than Afosma.
The bronze medal was won by Sukchanya Suebsakun (THA) who ended 1.801 off the gold-medal pace.
Racing over the same 1,200Km, Deekaballes Vipavee won the women’s downhill gold by averaging 27.516 kph to finish in 2:37.191. Suseanty Risa (INA) won silver in 2:38.707, comfortably ahead of bronze medalist Abdulkaree Sattayanun’s (THA) 2:42.635.
Equestrian At Wunna Theikdi Equestrian Field, Praveen Nair Mathavan, riding Sein Win Mal, took the individual dressage gold medal with a 67.405 total.
Indonesian riders Valentino Lumentah, on Ngwe Har May, and Ferry Wahyu Hadiyanto on Perfecting Ruby finished close behind Praveen. Valentino won silver with a 67.162 total and Ferry got bronze on 65.135.
Karatedo In men’s 75kg kumite karatedo at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium, Myanmar’s Aye Cham Naing defeated Mondolu Christo (INA) to win the gold medal. Mondolu got silver and Jamaludin Shaharudin (MAS) and Muntaen Songvut (THA) got the bronze medals.
In 67kg kumite, Indonesia’s Simanjuntak Jintar prevailed over Sharmendran Raghonathan (MAS) to send Sharmendran crashing to silver and taking home the gold himself. Tin Tun Aung (MYA) and Nguyen Ngoc Thanh (VIE) won the bronzes.
At 60kg, Silvarajoo Senthil Kumaran (MAS) overcame Dharmawan Donny (INA) to take the kumite gold. Dharmawan got silver and Tran Minh Duc (VIE) and Mohammad Mairul (BRU) went home with the bronzes.
In the women’s draw, Malaysia’s Segaran Shree Shamini won gold, beating Pham Thi Tien (VIE) down to silver. Cer Zung Len (MYA) and Joanna Mae Ylanan (PHI) got the bronzes.
Weightlifting At National Indoor Stadium, Yangon, Myanmar’s Aye Thanda Lwin snatched 92kg and clean and jerked 110kg to take gold in the women’s 53kg weightlifting with a 202kg total. Thuy Nguyen Thi (VIE) won silver with a 191kg (82/109) total on lighter-lifter tiebreak and Citra Febriamti(INA) got bronze with 191kg (86/105).
In men’s 69kg, Deni Deni (INA) totaled 342kg with a 148kg snatch and 176kg clean and jerk for the gold medal. Kyaw Moe Win (MYA) won silver with a 314kg (140/174) total and Tairat Bunsuk (THA) got bronze with a 312kg (137/175) total lift. Mohd Hafifi Mansor (MAS) also lifted 312kg, but lost the bronze because Tairat is the lighter lifter.

Bodybuilding At MMC in Yangon, Thailand’s Jiraphan Pongkam took gold in the men’s 55kg bodybuilding. Tun Min (MYA) posed for the silver and Van Mach Pham (VIE) won the bronze.
In the 60kg class, crowd favorite Aung Khaing Win (MYA) won the gold, Ahn thong Nguyen (VIE) the silver and Jefry Johanis Wuaten (INA) the bronze.
At 70kg, Van Lam Nguyen (VIE) took gold, Sazali Abd Samad (MAS) scored the silver and Edoardus Apcowo (INA) won the bronze.
Badminton Indonesia claimed women’s individual badminton gold through Manuputty Bellaetrix wo beat Ongbamrungphan Busanan (THA) 2-1 (9-21,21-13,21- 13). Ongbamrungphan got the silver and Nitachaon Jindapool (THA) and Thi Thang Vu (VIE) collected the bronzes at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium ( C ).
In men’s doubles, Angga Pratama and Rian Agung Saputro (INA) beat compatriots Angriawan Berry and Ricky Karanda Suwardi (INA) 2-1 (21-13, 17-21, 21-11) for the gold. Angriawan and Karanda got silver. Bronze medals went to Khim Wah Lim, Yao Han Ow (MAS) and V Sham Goh, KokSiang Teo (MAS).
The mixed doubles gold was Indonesia’s third on the day, Debby Susanto and Muhammad Rijal combining to beat silver medalists Jongjit Maneepon and Taerattanachai (THA) 2-0 (21-18, 21-19) in just 39 minutes.

Shooting At North Dagon Shooting Range in Yangon, Nguyen Minh Chau (VIE) won the women’s 10m air pistol gold with 195.6 score, just appoint ahead of silver medalist Teo Shun Xie of Singapore, who shot 194.6 for the silver. Le Thi Hoang Ngoc made a double-medal event for Vietnam by wining bronze, but ending well short of the winning scores on 174.8.
Football In men’s football at Thuwanna Stadium in Yangon, Timor-Leste and Indonesia played to the SEA Games first goalless draw, eliminating Timor- Leste from the medal round, but leaving the door still ajar for Indonesia in their final match in two days against Myanmar.
In women’s football at Mandalarthiri Stadium in Mandalay, Thailand converted a 2-0 lead in the first half into a 6-1 romp over Malaysia by fulltime.
Archery At Wunna Theikdi Archery Field on Saturday in 70m, 72 arrow play, three archers from Indonesia sit atop the women’s recurve qualification table after the morning session. In men’s recurve, two Malaysians sit above and below one from Indonesia, in second place, after the qualification round.
In women’s compound 70m, 72 arrow, Myanmar, Malaysian and Indonesian archers hold the three tops position at the end of play. In the men’s draw, the top places held by archers from Vietnam, Philippines and Malaysia.
Futsal In women’s futsal, Malaysia scored an equalizer in the second half to draw 1-1 with Indonesia, who took a 1-0 lead into the final frame.
In the second match Thailand took a 3-1 lead over Vietnam into the second, scored three more goals and came out winners 6-1.
Basketball Philippines, still the class act in men’s basketball at Zeyarthiri Indoor Stadium (A), weathered an 18-18 score-line at the end of the first quarter to outshoot Indonesia 22-16, 27-9, 16-9 in the remaining three quarters to win easily 83-52 in men’s action.
In the second game, Thailand jumped out to a 20-16 lead in the first quarter, outshot Malaysia 25-16 in the second, split the third 15-15 and eased of 13-22 in the fourth, but hung to win 73-69 in a hard-fought battle.
In the women’s match, Thailand dominated Myanmar 99-32, taking a 22-9 lead after the first quarter, adding another 25 points in the second to Myanmar’s 6, outscoring 29-4 in the third and finishing out the game 23-13.
Hockey At Hockey Field Yangon, Thailand scored two in the first half and added a third in the second to blank Indonesia 3-0 in women’s play.
After the first half, Malaysia looked unlikely to suffer any problems from Cambodia. The Malaysians led 18-0 at the break. They scored another 18 in the second half to embarrass their opponents 36-0.
In the day’s third match, Singapore took a 1-0 lead into the last half, added another goal and ended up 2-1 winners over Myanmar.
Sepak Takraw Sepak takraw wins at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium (B) went to Laos over Vietnam 2-0, Thailand 2-0 over Malaysia, Myanmar 2-0 over Laos and Vietnam 2-0 over Malaysia in the women’s draw. In the men’s round robin win went to Malaysia 2-0 over Laos, Thailand 2-0 over Myanmar, Laos 2-0 in a walkover against Cambodia Myanmar 2-0 over Vietnam.
Volleyball In volleyball at Zeyarthiri Indoor stadium (B), Thailand, 3-0 over Malaysia, and Vietnam, 3-0 over Myanmar, both cruised to easy wins in women’s volleyball at Zeyarthiri Indoor Stadium on Saturday morning.
But in men’s play Vietnam took Indonesia to the full five sets before succumbing 3-2 (32-30, 23-25, 17-25, 25-15, 15-9).

Swimming
At the Wunna Theikdi Swimming Pool, Thailand, while not necessarily completely dominating the top step, owned most of the podium on Friday, winning a host of silvers and bronzes, as well as four of six gold medals.
And when it counted in the women’s 4x100 free, the Thai girls swam home with the gold in 3 minutes 47.66 second, leaving Singapore (3:49.00) with the silver and Indonesia (3:55.28) carrying back the bronze.
In the men’s 100m breaststroke, Matjiur Radomyos got gold in 1:03.06, 012 ahead of silver medalist Gunawan Indra (INA) and 0.26 ahead of Joshua Hall (PHI) who got the bronze.
Singapore star Joseph Schooling swam a meet record 2:00.82 in the men’s 200m individual medley for gold, leaving Tran Duy Khoi (VIE) 2.99 behind for silver and Ketin Nttapong (THA) 4.24 seconds in his wake. Ketin got the bronze.

Wrestling At wrestling at National Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Fahrjansyah (INA) topped Tepakam Methee (THA) for gold in the men’s 84kg freestyle. Tepaka, got silver and Jason Balabal (PHI) won bronze.
In women’s 44kg freestyle, Chov Sotheara (CAM) beat Thailand’s Pimpak Sureeporn to win the gold. Pimpak got silver and Thidar Soe (MYA) won bronze.
At men’s 96kg, Laotian Phachanxay Phonexay won gold, knocking Kyaw Win Oo (MYA) to the silver step. Sou Joshua (CAM) took the bronze.
Can Tat Du (VIE) wrestled eventual silver medalist Pasawang Tadsapol (THA) to the mat for gold at 74kg and Saw Gar Byiel (MYA) got the bronze.
In women’s 48kg freestyle, Vu Thi Hang (VIE) took gold over Tho Kaew Sriprapa (THA). Nokeo Panay (LAO) and Inadrah (INA) won the bronze.

Canoeists and kayakers avoided the heat of midday and paddled all their races at Nga Lite Dam in the morning Thursday.
In the women’s K1 500m Erni Sokoy Ina (INA) took gold in 2 minutes 6.09 seconds, topping silver medalist Geraladine Wei Ling Lee (SIN) by 1.644 second and bronze winner Kanopan Suansan (THA) by 2.804.
Spensstuber Mehue won another gold for Indonesia in the men’s C1 500m in 1:59.256, less than a half a second ahead of silver winner Win Htike(MYA) and 2.630 ahead of Rungsawan Suansan (THA), who got the bronze.
The country’s silver came in the women’s K4 500m where Yulanda Ester Enthong, Kanti Santyawati, Sincelithasova Yom and Erni Sokoy finished just two-tenths of second behind gold medalist Myanmar.
The Myanmar women -- Myint Myint Than, Myo Thandar Tun, Naw Ahleslashe and Aye Mi Khine -- paddled home in1:44.156.
